Bradford Manufacturing Weeks 2020 ran between 5th and 16th October with the aim of introducing the district’s manufacturers to young people.
Due to the impact of Covid-19, we knew Bradford Manufacturing Weeks 2020 could not run as initially planned. But there is always a way…….
With virtual becoming the new ‘normal’, we spoke with schools/ colleges and manufacturers and suggested a virtual BMW event. Knowing how much students gained from previous BMW events everyone was ready to take on the challenge. For the third year running the BMW team introduced the district’s manufacturers to young people to create more inspired, informed and ‘work ready’ applicants into the sector. A timetable of activity was created aligned with a standard school timetable with activities including site tours, manufacturer talks, Barclays Lifeskills and live panels events. The recordings of the activities are available to view on the resources section of the website.
